Last updated October 23, 2026. Spook & Sparkle is a free community service for finding and sharing seasonal displays. These terms explain how to contribute and visit responsibly.

Share what you know

Give an honest location and description, and leave uncertain details unspecified. A photo is optional. Do not claim to own a property unless you are authorized to represent it. Do not post private contact details, access codes, harassment, unlawful content or information intended to put someone at risk.

Your photos and words

You keep ownership of content you submit. By contributing, you confirm that you have permission to share it and allow Spook & Sparkle and its service providers to store, process, resize, review and display it to operate the app. This permission is nonexclusive and royalty-free. Photos should show the display from a public viewing area and avoid identifiable people and private spaces.

Review and removal

Submitted places are reviewed before publication. Some eligible visitor updates are accepted automatically using proximity and conflict checks; others require staff review. Review or acceptance does not mean we have personally visited a display or verified every detail. We may correct information, link duplicate reports, decline content, hide a display or restrict misuse. A listing does not establish ownership, homeowner endorsement or permission to enter a property. Homeowners and residents can request a privacy review without an account. Visitor updates provide supporting information and can be mistaken.

Visit thoughtfully

Stay in public areas, obey signs and parking rules, and respect residents. Never use the app while driving; have a passenger plan the stop or pull over safely. Displays, lighting and hours can change. A report that decorations are present does not mean the lights are on or the property is open to visitors. Community-reported information may be incomplete or outdated. Check conditions before traveling, and use your judgment about safe access, traffic and weather. Map pins and external directions do not guarantee a safe or lawful route or parking place.

Accounts and availability

Keep sign-in codes private and use an email account you control. The service may be interrupted or changed. Community listings and directions are provided for planning, and their accuracy or availability cannot be guaranteed. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable law.
